For Clear Sight at All Distances, Try Acuvue Bifocal Contacts

If you don't like the idea of bifocal glasses or bifocal contacts haven't worked for, you might try Acuvue bifocal contacts. They are not only comfortable to wear, but they provide vision correction for a range of distances. And unlike conventional bifocal glasses or contacts, there are no abrupt changes in your vision with Acuvue bifocal contacts.

Acuvue bifocal contacts are made to correct for the condition of presbyopia. As you age, the cells in your eye's lens build up and the lens gradually loses its flexibility. And usually after you're 40, the lens becomes so stiff that your eye muscles can't adjust it properly for closeup sight. This can be remedied with reading glasses if your distance vision is good. But if your distance sight also needs help, then you need a bifocal or multifocal solution.

Acuvue bifocal contacts are actually multifocal lenses. A problem with bifocal lenses, either glasses or contacts, is that there's a abrupt change from one focal length to the other. Acuvue's design eliminates this problem with five concentric rings invisibly created in the lens. The different focal lengths allow you to smoothly shift your field of vision from near to distant objects.

The naturalness of the concentric ring design in Acuvue bifocal contacts, means you don't have to train yourself to use them. And there's no problem with them being upside down. So if the lenses rotate or move slightly, your vision won't be affected as with regular bifocal contacts.

Acuvue bifocal contacts are soft lenses which makes them comfortable to wear and easy to adjust to for first-time users or when used occasionally. Because soft lenses are so flexible, they can be accidentally turned inside-out. But to alert you to this possibility, Acuvue lenses have the number sequence "1 2 3" on the side of the lens. So when you're ready to use the lens, you just check the numbers to make sure they're in the right order.

As an added safety feature, Acuvue bifocal contacts come with UV protection. The lenses block almost all UV radiation which helps shield your cornea and the interior of your eye. Of course, since the lenses don't completely cover your eye, sunglasses should also be used. But since UV exposure is a risk factor for cataracts, any added protection for your eyes is a wise precaution.
