Change Your Eye Color with Disposable Color Contacts

Even people with 20/20 sight have started wearing disposable color contacts just for fun. These lenses make it easy and cheap to alter the appearance of your eyes whenever you choose. And if you do need to wear contact lenses for your vision, disposable color contacts let you get a new look to your eyes every time you replace the lenses.

Disposable color contacts are often actually frequent replacement lenses. Disposable contacts are meant to be used just once than thrown away. While frequent replacement lenses can be used more than once and cleaned in between uses. Acuvue 2 is a popular example of a lens that can do both. You can wear it for up to two weeks of daytime use or wear it for up to one continuous week before replacing it. So whether you treat it as a disposable or frequent replacement lens is up to you.

There are two types of color options for disposable color contacts. A typical example of the first type is the Acuvue 2 Colours enhancement tints. These lenses are made for light color eyes and deepen the natural eye color. Enhancement lenses have a light layer of tint that adds to your eye color without affecting your sight. And like all Acuvue 2 lenses, these can be worn either up to one week of 24-hour use or two weeks of daytime wear.

The other kind of disposable color contacts is typified by the FreshLook ColorBlends lens. The tint is non-transparent and completely covers the colored part of your eye, the iris. The center of the lens over your pupil is naturally left clear. This opaque lens, like some others, has more than one color tinting and is patterned to look as much like a natural iris as possible.

All these disposable color contacts are available without vision correction, but they still require a prescription. Contact lenses are considered medical products and an eye exam will not only ensure a proper fit but also can disclose any possible problems or concerns.
